The words ‘alien abduction’ tend to provoke derisive laughter. But imagine that you had experienced something so terrifying and beyond comprehension that this is the only explanation that makes sense to you. Who can you tell? Your friends and family have dismissed you, and society at large refuses to take you seriously. You have two options–you can either repress that traumatic experience or you can seek comfort with people who’ve experienced something similar.

Across the world, support groups exist for ‘experiencers’–people who’ve been subjected to an alien encounter or abduction. Our film focuses on one such group based in Southern California who meet monthly in the inauspicious backroom of a Denny’s diner. Led by licensed hypnotherapist Yvonne Smith, the group promises a safe place for members to share their stories and hopefully find validation for their feelings.
